Today we will meet three inspiring people. Some are world‑famous, one is just an ordinary person. Let’s find out who they are.

任务：快速阅读对话，回答问题：Who is the person they admire the most?

学生快速浏览，得出答案

Careful‑reading

任务 1：细读对话，完成教材表格，梳理三个人物的事迹：贝聿铭、王亚平、Adam’s father。核对表格答案，板书关键信息。

任务 2：Read and judge，完成判断正误三道小题，进一步挖掘文本细节。

任务 3：文本语言探究，引导学生观察句子：

 It was very creative of him to design it. 

It’s really very nice of him to support and encourage my exchange study here. 

复现It is/was +adj.+of sb. to do sth.评价句型；讲解短语look up to = admire 钦佩；仰慕。

1.Role‑play 

• 听 3a 对话音频，学生跟读，模仿语音、语调、情感。

• 3b 角色扮演任务，给出评价

 checklist：☆Speak fluently and clearly ☆Beautiful pronunciation and intonation ☆Full of emotion 

• 小组分角色练习对话，教师巡视，给予发音、断句指导。

• 选取 2‑3 组上台展示，师生结合 checklist 做简单点评。

  

2.Group work

1.呈现 3c 的品质形容词：creative, brave, amazing, inspiring; full of courage, full of wisdom, dream big, never give up，带领学生朗读，引导思考：这些词语可以用来描述什么样的人？

2.小组活动 3c：Work in groups. Discuss who you admire and why。给出对话范例支架： A: Who is the person you admire the most? B: I admire … the most. He/She is … It is … of him/her to … What about you? Who do you look up to? 提示学生：可以是名人，也可以是老师、家人、消防员等身边普通人。

3.回答问题：Why do you also admire ordinary people?

1.回顾三个人物的成就及事件和他们的精神品质。

2.引出德育主题，不是只有名人才值得敬佩，平凡人也能闪闪发光。

3.列出本课的重点词组

分层作业：

基础作业：
